Adrian Chng, co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Fintonia Group, was a keynote speaker at the FINNOVASIA 2017 Conference in Kuala Lumpur, on the topic “Investing in FinTech”. Adrian also hosted the panel on Equity Crowdfunding and P2P Lending, participated by Mark Mackenzie, Managing Director of APAC at Lenddo, Tomoyoki Sugiyama, Founder and CEO of Crowdcredit, Kelvin Teo, Co-founder of Funding Securities, Leo Shimada, Co-founder and CEO of Crowdo, and Chin Wei Min, Executive Director of the Malaysia Securities Commission.

The Equity Crowdfunding and P2P Lending Panel discussed themes centered around the commercial sustainability of the P2P business model, and how alternative financing can deliver more cost effective financing to specific market segments that traditional institutions cannot serve profitably, with superior matching and risk assessment from big data.
